넷플릭스에 합류하기 전, 플로랜스 부사장은 내비사이트(NaviSite, Inc.)에서 매니지드 호스팅 환경의 대규모 서버 자동화 관리 도입을 개척한 테크니컬 서비스 디렉터 직을 역임한 바 있다.
As Vice President of Product, Ken Florance is responsible for flawless delivery of millions of hours of TV shows and movies daily to more than 151 million Netflix members in over 190 countries. When he joined Netflix in 2003, the company had fewer than 1 million members. Mr. Florance has led development and architecture for Netflix's delivery of content since the launch of the streaming service in 2007. Prior to Netflix, Mr. Florance was director of technical services at NaviSite, Inc., where he helped to pioneer the automated management of large server deployments in a managed hosting environment.
